Self-checkout application
Self-checkout application
Self-service checkouts are nowadays adopted in stores of different formats and sizes. Many stores, especially the smaller ones, do not designate an assistant to help customers with issues they encounter at the SCO. It is vital that the SCO application is intuitive to operate and at the same time protects the store against fraud.

Fast and easy to use
When designing our SCO application, we placed great emphasis on the user experience, which is essential in making its adoption as wide as possible. We made it intuitive and fast enough to keep up with the quickest-scanning customers.
Compatible with attended POS
The SCO application is fully compatible with the cashier-operated POS application in terms of interfaces with external systems and promotion handling.
In situations, where the promotion-related behavior of the attended POS and the SCO applications should differ, the individual behaviors are defined at the promotion management system level. An example use case would be printing a coupon at the SCO and redeeming it for a gift or a sticker at a cashier-operated checkout.
Remotely supervised
Self checkouts can be remotely supervised using a dedicated assistant application or from the nearest POS operated by a cashier. Remote supervision capabilities include live receipt viewing, age verification, and AI-generated fraud alerts.
In cases of suspected fraud, the system displays a photo of the item on the self-checkout scale, allowing the cashier to verify whether it matches the product selected by the customer.
Control scale support
The SCO application features a built-in control scale module that learns the weight profile of each product. It intelligently handles situations where a customer removes previously placed items before adding new ones in a different order.
This enables the system to accurately verify whether all items on the control scale have been scanned, while minimizing false alarms.
AI help in produce recognition
Products placed on the weight scale are recognized with the help of AI, and product selection shortcuts are suggested to the customer. When following the suggestions, customers take over 2x less time to select their products.
The accuracy of the system in recognizing fruits and vegetables, either loose or in a transparent plastic bag, is over 95%.
Fraud prevention using AI
The AI system can raise alerts in case the customer tries to select the wrong fruit or vegetable, or tries to take a completely different product and selects a fruit or vegetable in the application, which is impossible to detect using the control scale alone. The alert will prevent the completion of the transaction until an assistant verifies it.
Tailored to your needs
Adjustable to any hardware
We can adapt our SCO application to the devices you already have.
Dedicated user interface for each retailer
The complete GUI and transaction flow can be customized to your requirements.
Cash payment acceptance
The self-checkout application can work with a cash recycler capable of serving multiple SCO units.
